Pesticides are used to control various pests and disease carriers.

There are many different types of pesticides. Various types of pesticides may be effective against different kinds of pests. Some examples of pesticides include:

  • Antimicrobials help control germs and microbes such as bacteria and viruses

  • Disinfectants help control germs and microbes such as bacteria and viruses

  • Fungicides help control fungal problems like molds, mildew, and rust

  • Herbicides help control the growth of unwanted plants, also known as weeds

  • Insecticides help control insect infestations

  • Rodenticides help control rodents like mice and rats
